My favorite memory with my parents is that time when I broke up with my boyfriend. Perhaps you think that this story is out of topic. No, it's not. As an introvert girl, I never told my parents about my problems. I just thought they couldn't help me at all. And I was too old to share my trouble with them(I was 21yo at that time). But when I broke up I couldn't think of anything except calling my dad asap. At his first hello, my tears burst out. I was crying like a child. "Daddy, I broke up. Why is it so hurt?" My dad just listened to me in silence. I know that there was my mom too. They told me nothing but I knew they were there. When I stopped crying, my dad told me this: "keep calm baby, you still have me, you still have us. We love you so much. It's enough, right?"
I didn't answer that question. But my heart said, yes dad, that's more than enough.
You know why it's become my favorite memory? Not because that broke up things, but because that's the first time I heard my dad told me that he loved me, literally. And guess what? after that he calls me three times a day everyday just for doing small talks. He proves me that his love is big enough for me. He proves me that parent's love will always with me, wherever I am, whatever I do.
Their love makes me stronger day by day.*tulisan ini dibuat untuk mengikuti give away contest from GraceUnited.sg dan di post kembali di blog ini
